Max Freund (*1992, lives and works in Vienna) cuts up many works, reassembles them, only to take them apart again and, even more so, to sew them up – often literally. Nevertheless, there is an inherent harmony in his works that is probably nourished by the fact that everything he does grows organically, constantly expanding naturally, one cross-connection after the other. – Paula Watzl
