Zurich Art Weekend

Following the latest March initiative, Zurich Art Weekend is now thrilled to present the venues and special collaborations that will animate the new three-day event happening this June.

2021 is for Zurich Art Weekend a year of consolidation of established events and new initiatives. The positive spirit that distinguishes Zurich Art Weekend is still vivid and the number of venues that are taking part in Zurich Art | June is testament to that. Once again, renowned Swiss galleries will unite with new voices of the Zurich art scene to present the arts within a communal framework.

A rich public programme rhymes the weekend-long event. Institutions will offer new opportunities to the public to engage with their current exhibitions, whilst galleries and off-spaces will present shows that present established and emerging artists. Ranging from guided tours (some led by the exhibitions’ curators, journalists and artists) to public talks, meetings with the artists and vernissages, Zurich Art | June is set to be an invaluable occasion for the general and specialised public willing to experience the thriving local art scene.

To anticipate the main event happening in September, the Art Walks organised by Zurich Art Weekend in collaboration with the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) are going to complement the public programme. A special Art Walk will be led by Swiss independent curator Gianni Jetzer.

Once again, the local art scene demonstrates to be very active, and the new initiatives promoted by Zurich Art Weekend reconfirm themselves as great occasions to explore all that the city of Zurich has to offer in terms of visual and performing arts
